To provide participants the skills and knowledge to troubleshoot and service wood appliances.

Training Description:
• Understand evolution of wood appliance design: EPA regulation, time temperature and turbulence, front loaders, top loaders, air flows and heat distribution
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of wood appliance construction including steel, cast iron, combination, soapstone, firebrick, pumice brick, clear glass, coated glass, etc.
• Recognize the replacement parts that will eventually need replaced due to use and time
• Understand wood venting principles and guidelines
• Learn about wood appliance maintenance that needs performed on an annual basis
• Receive an annual maintenance check list
• Develop a troubleshooting mind set with regard to wood appliances (template provided)
