Training Description: 
• Understand pellet stove design (over feed, under feed systems, positive, negative and combination pressure systems)
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of ignition system components, fuel delivery system components, combustion air components, operational components, convection system components, and safety system components
•  Understand pellet appliance operational cycles of start mode, run mode, and cool down mode
• Learn to use diagnostic tools: multimeter and pressure gauge (hands-on activities)
• Learn to read pellet appliance wiring diagrams (examples provided)
• Hands-on troubleshooting of pellet components and appliance operation using a provided troubleshooting flow chart
• Develop an understanding of restrictor adjustments and air flow problems using a provided flow chart
• Understand pellet venting principles and guidelines
• Learn about pellet appliance maintenance that needs performed on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
• Receive an annual maintenance check list
• Develop a troubleshooting mind set with regard to pellet appliances (template provided)
